Whether you have extra seedlings taking over your windowsill, a surplus of seeds, or a collection of garden pots you no longer need, it’s time to share the garden love.

Join us at the Manitou Library Garden for our annual Seed & Plant Exchange!

The Details:
📅 When: Saturday, May 30, 2026
⏰ Time: 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM
📍 Where: Manitou Library Garden

How it works:
Bring: Seeds, live plants, cuttings, or garden pots to swap.

Take: Walk away with new green treasures for your own garden! Take home whatever you can use.

Bonus: Everyone who attends will be entered to win a Door Prize! 🎁

Can’t make it on Saturday?
Don't worry! Feel free to drop off your swap items at the library ahead of time, and we will make sure they get shared with the community.

South Central Regional Library Manitou Branch is looking for a mature student to fill a position as a Programmer for the Summer Reading Program

Details:
30 hours a week for 10 weeks
May include evenings and weekends

Role Requirements:
Must have strong written and oral skills in English and work well under minimal direction.
The candidate will represent South Central Regional Library and work with other Programmers to develop and implement a positive and interactive Summer Reading Program.
Strong social media and technical skills are valued.
Being able to interact well with children and others is a must.
A valid diver’s licence would be an asset but not required.

Applicant must:
Be able to plan and organize work, take initiative and be creative with what’s available.
An enthusiastic team player who likes to work with children.
Be between 18 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.
Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. **International students are not eligible.
Be legally entitled to work according to provincial legislation and regulations.
Submit a clean criminal record check.
