Today, we remember Dolly Parton and her incredible love of books and children. 📚❤️

Through Dolly’s Imagination Library, countless children have received the gift of a book each month, helping inspire a lifelong love of reading and learning.

We are grateful to have been part of sharing that gift with our community. Dolly’s legacy will live on in every child who discovers the joy of a story, turns a page, and dreams a little bigger because of a book.

Thank you, Dolly, for believing that every child deserves a book. Your love of reading will continue to make a difference for generations to come. 🌟📖

The Libby app team is saddened to hear of the passing of Dolly Parton.

Dolly was a beloved artist and cultural icon, but perhaps just as importantly, she was a lifelong champion of literacy and the belief that everyone deserves access to books. Through the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, she helped put books into the hands of children in communities across the globe and inspired generations of young readers to discover the joy of reading.

Today, we’re taking a quiet moment to read in Dolly’s memory and to celebrate the incredible legacy she leaves behind.

🌿 Enjoy Your Baby: Wellness Support for Parents & Caregivers 🌿

The Manning Municipal Library is excited to partner with the Peace Region Family Resource Network to offer Enjoy Your Baby, a 5-week mental health and wellness course for parents and caregivers of babies from newborn to 12 months.

This supportive, group-based program is designed to help you:
💚 Navigate the postpartum stage
💚 Build practical wellness and coping skills
💚 Access helpful resources and supports
💚 Connect with other parents and caregivers who are going through similar experiences
💚 Build a sense of community during the early months of parenting

📅 Tuesdays: September 15, 22, 29 & October 6, 13
⏰ 10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
📍 Manning Municipal Library
👶 Babies are welcome and are encouraged to attend with their parent/caregiver!
🍎 Snacks will be provided.

📚 CLOSED FOR HERITAGE DAY 📚

Manning Municipal Library will be closed on Monday, August 3rd for Heritage Day. We hope everyone has a wonderful long weekend! 🇨🇦

We will reopen for regular hours on Tuesday, August 4th.

📢 Summer Hours Notice

Effective June 26, the library will be operating on reduced summer hours:

🕙 Monday–Thursday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
❌ Closed Friday–Sunday and all Statutory Holidays

Regular operating hours will resume the week of August 31.
