Here is a free webinar by International Dyslexia Association Ontario for those that may be interested.

With so many tutoring programs, intervention approaches, and “research-based” claims online, it can be difficult for families to know what truly matters when choosing dyslexia support for their child.

In this webinar, Brennan Chandler, PhD and Emily Hardeman, MEd, will help families understand what effective dyslexia intervention looks like and what questions to ask when evaluating programs, tutors, and services. Drawing from research, professional expertise, and parent experience, the webinar will explore common instructional approaches, key features of effective support, and practical considerations related to time, cost, and children’s individual needs. Families and caregivers will leave with a clearer framework for navigating dyslexia support options with greater confidence, along with a practical checklist to guide future decisions.

Registration is free. Donations are welcome to help support this event.

Books open doors to understanding, empathy, and belonging. When libraries provide diverse and inclusive collections, they create spaces where every child can feel seen, valued, and celebrated.

Books are for everyone.
Libraries are for everyone.
Reading is for everyone.
Inclusion is for everyone.
Representation is for everyone.
And every story deserves to be told.

This Pride Month, I’m celebrating the books that help young readers learn about themselves, discover others, and build a more compassionate world, one story at a time. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

We're happy to celebrate DeafBlind Awareness month with our partners at Superior Greenstone Association For Community Living Roger Hache and his support workers Kaiden and Ola dropped off a bouquet of flowers on Thursday and came back today to do some "yarn-bombing" on a bike and discuss being DeafBlind during the PD day. The bike will be on display all month at the library!

The program is open to ages 0-12 and is completely free of charge. It's a great way to encourage kids to keep reading this summer whether at the library, at home, or on the go. Every Tuesday and Thursday come by for a story and a fun craft or activity to follow.

Join us for our Lanuch Party on June 30th to kick of this years program.
