Today, on , we honour the lives of victims and stand with families and communities seeking answers and justice.
We call on the powers that be to implement the 231 Calls for Justice from the National Inquiry into MMIWG and to address the ongoing high rates of violence against Indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQIA+ peoples in Canada.
We shine a light on the crisis of MMIWG2S+, which is a direct result of colonization, systemic racism, and continued marginalization.

May 5 is Red Dress Day, observed as the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2SLGBTQI+ people (MMIWG2S+). Red Dress Day is a day of remembrance and action across Canada. It calls attention to the disproportionate violence against Indigenous peoples through the display of empty red dresses, symbolizing the lost lives.
