Water Shut-off, Creston Boulevard, September 2/26

Residents of Creston Boulevard are advised there will be a water shut-off from the intersection of Markland Road to Hollett's Road tomorrow, September 2nd, starting at 8:00 a.m. All side streets, including Markland Road and Hollett's Road, will be affected.

This water shut-off is for an indefinite period of time to facilitate the installation of a new fire hydrant.

Once the water has been turned back on, residents are advised to turn on their outside taps to mitigate issues with air in their lines and discoloration.

The Town apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and thanks you for your patience.

Residents of Jones' Rock/Trailer Park at the end of Bayview Street are advised that a water shut-off has been scheduled for Monday, August 31st, to facilitate two service hook-ups. Water will be off starting at 8:00 a.m. and will last for an indefinite period.

Once the water has been turned back on, residents are advised to turn on their outside taps to mitigate issues with air in their lines and discoloration.

Roadwork on Harris Drive, August 25-27/26

Motorists are advised that milling on Harris Drive will be ongoing today (25th) with a tack coat and paving taking place tomorrow (26th), possibly continuing into early Thursday (27th).

The road will be passable however, traffic will be down to one lane and there will be delays.

Motorists are asked to obey all flag persons and use caution in the area given the equipment that will be in place.

Message on Behalf of the Burin Peninsula Regional Service Board

The waste disposal site will be closed on Saturday, September 5th, 2026, due to the Labour Day Holiday. The site will re-open on Tuesday September 8th, 2026, at 8:00 a.m.

Regular waste collection will not be affected by this holiday.

Water Shut-off, Ville Marie Drive, Wednesday, August 26, 2026

Residents are advised that there will be a water shut-off on Ville Marie Drive tomorrow, August 26th, from the intersection with Raymond's Road to Harris Drive, including side streets Baker's Cove Road and Baker's Place. Harris Drive and Raymond's Road, with the exception of 2 Raymond's Road (Gus Baker) are not affected. All residences between Bill Barry's Lane and School Road, including the high school, are also affected however, Bill Barry's Lane is not affected.

This water shut-off will start at 8:00 a.m. and will last for an indefinite period in order to facilitate the installation of a main water valve.

Once the water has been turned back on, residents are advised to turn on their outside taps to mitigate issues with air in their lines and discoloration.
