🌿 MEET CHERYL 🌿

We’d love to introduce you to Cheryl Chamaillard, one of our Employment Advisors here at HSEDS!

Originally from a tiny town in Ontario, Cheryl first came to Haida Gwaii when her husband was stationed here in the mid-2000s. They fell in love with island life and the endless beaches, and in the spring of 2021, they made Haida Gwaii home. ❤️

Cheryl joined the HSEDS team on April 1, 2026, which also happens to be her birthday. Yes, she’s an April Fool! 😂

As an Employment Advisor, Cheryl loves being able to help community members find meaningful employment and training, while finding ways to overcome barriers along the way.

Outside of work, Cheryl enjoys kickboxing, something she originally started as part of physiotherapy and ended up loving! 🥊

And something you should definitely know about Cheryl… She LOVES to talk! 😂 Anything and everything, just ask her coworkers!

She also loves pizza, collects cool rocks wherever she goes, and has a soft spot for turtles. 🐢🪨

If you see Cheryl around the office or community, be sure to say hello! We’re happy to have her as part of the HSEDS team. ❤️
