We are a charitable organization addressing the food insecurity needs of those residing in the Municipality of Meaford.

The Goals of the Meaford Food Bank and Outreach are to:

● provide a caring, supportive, welcoming atmosphere that addresses the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual, issues of those in need;

● ensure a continuous and accessible service to those in need of emergency high-quality food in a dignified setting and referrals for emergency clothing and shelter;

● network with other service agenci

es, organizations and businesses in the community and surrounding area to promote awareness, and increase support, identify gaps in service, avoid duplication and facilitate referrals;

● offer multi-faceted, integrated, responsive and prevention-focused programming and education that builds health, hope, skills, self-sufficiency and community; and

● foster opportunities for community members to build mutual support networks and connect to resources.

Every donations makes a difference and helps keep our shelves stocked for those in need! 🫶🏼🥫

Donations can be dropped off Mondays between 9:30am-11:30am and Thursdays 5pm-7pm!

Just a reminder of the ways we receive donations 🫶🏼 The support of our donors allows us to deliver our programs to the community, alleviating hunger, building hope, and inspiring change.

1. Make a gift online using the Donation link on our website 💻www.meafordfoodbankandoutreach.org When you donate online through our website, the funds are deposited directly into our account and the donor receives a charitable receipt at the time of donation.

2. Donate by mail 📩

Please make your cheque payable to Meaford Food Bank and Outreach and mail to:

In the memo please include your name and email address OR your mailing address so that we can issue you a charitable receipt.

Note: Charitable receipts are issued for all monetary donations of $25 or more.

National Volunteer Week is April 19 to 25, 2026!
This week is set aside each year to recognize and thank volunteers for the time and energy they contribute to causes that benefit our communities.

Meaford Food Bank and Outreach relies heavily on volunteers to distribute food and services to food insecure families in the Municipality of Meaford. We are indeed very grateful for the faithful presence of our volunteers each week, receiving, sorting, storing and distributing food.

Thank you to each one for your dedication and for the kindness and compassion you show to visitors. We cannot do what we do without you!❤️🫶🏼

Because of your generosity, we were able to support over 80 families every month. As we continue to see 4-5 new families each month, your support means more than ever.

Thank you to all who donated items of clothing or toiletries or food or monetary gifts towards our Christmas Programs! ❤️🎄

Because of your giving we were able to distribute 228 Christmas food hampers and 266 children benefited from our Christmas “STAR” program receiving toiletries, toques and gloves, pajamas, underwear and socks, along with age-appropriate toys and stocking stuffers.

You made Christmas special for many families in our community! ❤️
