A big thank you to the Medicine Hat Firefighters for spending the morning with us at the Root Cellar Food & Wellness Hub!

The firefighters jumped in to help with Brown Bag Lunch, making sandwiches to help provide school lunches for local children. We appreciate you taking the time to support our community and help make a difference!

We are joining the WILD 94.5 Food Drive 2026 in support of the Root Cellar Food & Wellness Hub — and we will have a collection box right here in the studio!

Bring a non-perishable item to your next class and help us fill it up. Most-needed items:
🥫 Canned tuna/chicken, soups & canned meals
🍝 Pasta, pasta sauce & rice
🥜 Peanut butter, jam & sugar
🥣 Cereal, pancake mix & syrup
🧴 Feminine hygiene products, dish soap, laundry soap & body wash

Prefer to give cash? Every $1 donated = 2 lbs of food! E-transfers can be sent to [email protected].

Pick up day is November 18th — let us see how much love this community can pack into one box 💪

WILD Food Drive 2026
We need YOUR business, school, or charitable group to be a part of the WILD Food Drive 2026. We’ll be on the Traxx Coachlines Food Drive Bus on November 18th collecting all of the food and cash donations in support of the Root Cellar Food and Wellness Hub . Set up a food collection bin at your place of business and we will promote it for you. We will also supply you with a cash can and signage to bring attention to your bin. A little reminder that the Root Cellar will be closed Monday, October 12th for Thanksgiving.

We hope you all have a chance to slow down, spend time with the people you love, and enjoy a little extra food around the table. 🥧🍂

A big thank you to the nursing students from Medicine Hat College who spent time volunteering with us at the Root Cellar!

We truly appreciate you taking the time to help in our Emergency Food Pantry, warehouse, and Brown Bag Lunch program. From helping prepare sandwiches to sorting and organizing food, your hard work made a difference and helped support so many people in our community.
