The International Day of Charity, observed annually on September 5, was established by the United Nations to encourage people, NGOs, and organizations worldwide to support others through charitable, volunteer, and philanthropic activities.

The date commemorates the death of Mother Teresa of Calcutta, who dedicated more than 45 years to helping the poor, sick, orphaned, homeless, and dying. She died on September 5, 1997, and in recognition of her contributions and the vital role of charity in addressing human suffering and humanitarian crises, the UN designated September 5 as the International Day of Charity.

Not sure if your registration has been approved?

1. Login to PowerSchool Parent Portal (link above), choose SchoolEngage from the navigation menu on the bottom left corner of the screen.
2. Once you are logged in with SchoolEngage, please click on the students tab from the left hand menu and click on your child’s name.
3. On the right hand side, scroll down until you see "2026-2027 Transportation Registration - current Student". You will It will say one of three things:

APPROVED | If the form is approved, then you have successfully registered for bussing. Your child will receive their bus pass in the first 2 weeks of school. We appreciate your patience as sometimes bus passes take the full two weeks to get handed out. There is a grace period in the first couple weeks of school, no student will be turned away because they don't have their pass yet.

INCOMPLETE | You need to complete and submit the form. Click on the small blue box to open the form, complete it and press submit. You will receive an email once your application has been approved or denied.

DENIED | Your application has been denied as your child is not eligible for bus transportation. If you believe that this is an error please contact the MHPSD transportation department by email [email protected]

If you do not have a school bus registration form in school engage and need school bus transportation please contact the school and they will assign a form for you to complete.

Attention: Alexandra Middle School Students

Important Dates:
First Day of School: Tuesday, September 1st
Meet the Teacher/Open House Night: Thursday, September 10th

First Day of School Procedure:
To ensure a smooth and welcoming start to the school year, we have organized a split bussing schedule for the first day:

Grade 7 Students: Attend morning only. This time will be dedicated to meeting teachers, touring the school, and building a sense of community and belonging. All grade 7 students will be picked up in the morning at their regularly scheduled bus time, non-bussing grade 7 students can arrive at school for the 8:10 AM warning bell. Please meet on the basketball court to find your homeroom teacher.
Grade 7 students will load the buses at 12:35 PM for transportation home. Non-busing grade 7 students will be dismissed at 12:30.

Grade 8 and 9 Students: Attend afternoon only. They will be welcomed, meet their teachers, and start to settle into their new schedules. All grade 8 and 9 students bus routes will begin pick up at 12:00 PM, non-bussing grade 8 and 9 students can arrive at school 12:30 PM. Please meet in the gymnasium to find your homeroom teacher.
Grade 8 and 9 students will be picked up by buses at 2:30 PM for transportation home.

On the International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism, observed every August 21st, we honour the victims and survivors whose lives have been forever changed by acts of terrorism. Beyond the immediate aftermath, many face long-term physical, psychological, social, and financial challenges and continue to need support, recognition, and protection of their rights. Today, we stand in solidarity with victims, survivors, and their families, reaffirming the importance of listening to their voices, supporting their recovery and rehabilitation, and ensuring that no victim.
