Author Spotlight
Mary Kubica is an American author of suspense thrillers. She released her latest book "It's Not Her" in February.
We have a display featuring Mary Kubica's books and a bookmark/tracker (all 10 of her novels are listed for you to check off as you read them).
Janna L. was lucky enough to attend an author talk and have Kubica sign a copy of her newest book. Fun facts learned about the author:
- she considers herself a "pantser" not a "plotter", meaning she writes "by the seat of her pants" as opposed to plotting out the whole story
- Mary is a true-crime buff and her inspiration for "It's Not Her" came from the still unsolved Keddie Cabin m&rders from 1981 in northern California
- her favourite novel to write was her first, "The Good Girl", because she had no deadlines; it was initially rejected by 100 publishers before being picked up and published in 2014
