Have you spotted the Hidden People yet?

They’re tucked away along the Story Trail / Woodland–Toboggan Hill Trail (by Merrickville Public School) and along the RiverWalk Trail (near the Library).
Take a walk, keep your eyes sharp, and count how many Hidden People you can find — all of them are visible right from the path. Then pop into the Library to enter your guess!

Just Added! When you enter, you’ll get a special Hidden People sticker and a coupon for one of five local businesses (thanks to a donation from the Merrickville Lions Club).
Already entered your guess? No problem — you can still come by for your sticker and coupon.

These treats are only available while supplies last, so get counting!

Contest deadline: October 31

The Hidden People Walk is a project of artist Graham Annable & Coba Studios with the help of the Library and the support of the Merrickville & District Trails Society and the Merrickville Lions Club.

Regular reading has many benefits for kids — in school and in life!

The Library can help your child find books they’ll want to keep reading — and it’s free!

Children are more likely to read if they feel connected to books and have choices

10/10/2026

The Library will be closed on Mon, Oct 12 for Thanksgiving, but we will be open on Sat, Oct 10 for our regular hours.

🎃 Saturday, Oct 24 — Halloween Howl (Ages 8 & under)
We’re putting the BOO in Books with (not so) spooky stories, rhythm instruments (lots of audience participation!), a simple craft, and treats for preschoolers & primary students. Costumes are welcome — but not required. Come howl with us!
