Hydro One Update

⚠️ Severe thunderstorms are forecast for parts of the area later today, with the potential for high winds.

Hydro crews are closely monitoring conditions and are prepared to respond if outages occur.

We encourage residents to prepare for the possibility of an extended power outage and ensure their emergency kit is stocked and up to date.

There are a number of tools available for customers to report their power outage, and to stay up to date. Find more information about Hydro's outage tools on their website: https://www.hydroone.com/power-outages-and-safety/outage-tools

NOTICE OF WATER SERVICE INTERRUPTION

St Lawrence Street – those residents and businesses affected will be notified by hand delivered notice.

Please be advised that, as part of the ongoing construction works, a temporary water service interruption will be required to complete necessary watermain work.

📆 Date of Water Shut-Off: September 2, 2026, Estimated Time: 7pm to 7am

The interruption is expected to last for one (1) night, after which water service will be restored as soon as the work has been completed.

We recommend that you:
● Store an adequate supply of water for drinking, cooking, and other essential needs prior to the shut-off.
● Keep all water taps in the closed position during the interruption.
● Once service has been restored, run the cold water tap for several minutes to flush any air or discoloured water from your plumbing.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we complete this essential work to improve your water service. This interruption was scheduled during a night shift to help alleviate the disruptions to residents and businesses that would be affected.

Notice to Residents - August Hydrant Flushing

Watermain / Hydrant Flushing will take place from August 4-28, 2026, between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm.

As a result of the flushing, water may be slightly discoloured or brown/reddish water. The water is entirely safe, however may not be aesthetically pleasing.

If you are aware of flushing taking place on your street, it is best not to run any water until the street is complete. When your street is complete, your house taps should be run at full flow to a faucet without a screen (bathtub, cold water only) for a short time until the water is clear.

Weekly sampling is being conducted to ensure safe water.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

If you have any questions, please call 613-269-3247.
