✨ MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Fiona MacIntyre Designs ✨
This month's Chamber Chat shines a light on the incredibly talented Fiona MacIntyre! 💍
Originally from Cardinal, Ontario, Fiona's journey took her through a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Guelph and a Bachelor of Design in Jewellery & Metalsmithing at OCAD University where she fell in love with working in metal. She's been designing jewellery since 1998!
In 2016, Fiona chose to plant roots in Merrickville, calling it "the nicest community in Eastern Ontario," with a rich history of craft-based businesses and artisans. 🍁
Working primarily in silver (and gold upon request), Fiona draws inspiration from nature, architecture, and the places she calls home. From one-of-a-kind exhibition pieces to custom requests and her own signature lines, every piece is authentically handmade right here in Merrickville.
We're especially proud to highlight her SilverBirch Collection created in response to the discovery of unmarked graves of Indigenous children across Canada, with proceeds supporting the Gord Downie Chanie Wenjack Fund. 🤍
"I provide original designs, using genuine quality materials, authentically handmade right here in Merrickville," says Fiona. "I offer unique, inspired designs that are not found in larger commercial jewellery stores."
