🎒 Back-to-School Support from the Elks Hall Bingo Players!

What a great way to help local kids start the school year!

A huge thank you to the Elks Hall Bingo Players for once again collecting an incredible assortment of school supplies for the Nicola Valley Food Bank. Backpacks, notebooks, pencils, markers and all kinds of classroom essentials were generously donated to help local students head back to school ready to learn.

We stopped by during bingo to pick everything up, and once again, this wonderful group showed just how much can happen when a community comes together. 💚

These supplies will make a real difference for families facing the added expense that comes with the start of a new school year.

Thank you to everyone at the Elks Hall who contributed. Your generosity means a lot to the families we serve!

For our clients: We have been donated tickets to the rodeo for either Sept 5 or 6th.
This donor has gifted tickets each year and the clients who have won the tickets have a great time. We thank the donor for the rodeo entertainment that they share out to our community.
We will be doing a draw again this year so if you are committed to attending the rodeo one day of the weekend, please message us to get your name entered. This way we won’t miss your name if you reply on a shared post. You can also drop in to the food bank Wednesday or Thursday and enter that way as well. Good luck to all !

🥕🥦 Another van full of fresh produce! 🥬🍅

A huge thank you to the wonderful people at Shackan Nursery for another incredibly generous donation of fresh produce to the Nicola Valley Food Bank!

I headed out to Shackan and came home with the van loaded once again. Fresh, locally grown food like this makes a real difference for the families and individuals we serve throughout the Nicola Valley.

And thanks for holding me up, guys! 😂💪

💚 Another $754 for the Nicola Valley Food Bank! 💛

A huge thank you to Peter and the team at No Frills Merritt for presenting us with a cheque for $754, raised through their latest fundraising efforts.

We’re incredibly grateful to Peter, his team, and especially the No Frills customers who contributed. Every dollar helps us put food on the table for individuals and families right here in the Nicola Valley.

It’s another great example of local businesses and local residents coming together to look after their neighbours.

Reminder to our clients: We are closed next week. Our volunteers and staff will be working to bring in donations to support the 3 weeks in September that we will be open. Nicola Valley Food Bank The devastation of the BC wildfires continues to impact the communities we support.

Axis Family Resources Ltd. has committed $140,000 to 14 food banks across the province to help meet urgent needs.

We are committed to our Vision of ensuring our communities are strengthened by our presence, therefore, we are supporting local food banks in B.C. that have had additional strain put on their resources due to families being displaced from their homes because of wildfires. We are committed to supporting our communities through these challenging times. 🫶

For those who would like to drop off donations for the evacuees, Pawsecurity will be at 1898 Blair 10-6 daily. Limited space but we will work together to ensure your donations are shared out to those in need. There are large drop off bins on the property that donors have access to during the above hours. This includes pet food and supplies. We will be emptying the bins as product comes in. We will accept all donations accept for perishables at this location. Thank you for supporting the evacuees in our community.
