Thank you to everyone who continues to ride responsibly in our county forest. We truly appreciate it. As a quick reminder, your license plate must be properly mounted and clearly visible while you’re on the trails. It’s a small step that helps keep our trails open and strengthens our relationships. Please take a moment to check before you head out.
First off, we want to recognize that most of our members do a fantastic job following ride requirements and representing our club responsibly on the trails-thank you for continuing to set the standard.
That said, there has been a concerning level of non-compliance with the requirement to properly display license plates on motorcycles while using OFTR trails. This issue has been noted not only within the club, but also by landowners and local police.
This is a straightforward and mandatory rule-no different than for any car, truck, or trailer. Plates must be mounted to the bike, clearly visible, and in the correct location for the plate type (green on the front, blue on the rear). Carrying a plate in a backpack, leaving it at the truck, or otherwise not displaying it properly does not meet the requirement.
We all share responsibility for maintaining access to our trails and preserving the strong relationships we have with landowners and enforcement agencies. Proper plate display is a small but important part of that.
If you're heading out to ride, please take a moment to ensure your bike is fully compliant before hitting the trails.
