The Balm Beach Road water fill station is now open! 💧

The Township of Tiny would like to thank residents for their patience while we waited for a part on back order to come in to fix the taps. Thanks to our Parks team for making these repairs as soon as possible.

We have budgeted capital funding to replace this unreliable system, and we look forward to updating this free service in the near future for the community.

Temporary Service Disruption – Sidewalk Repairs 🚧

There will be a temporary service disruption due to short-term sidewalk closures in the areas of Lafontaine, Perkinsfield, and Wyevale for various repairs. Work is scheduled to begin on June 15, 2026, and be performed between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The temporary closures will be in place for 1-2 days in sections, and all repairs are anticipated to be complete in an approximate two-week timeframe (pending weather) in the following areas:

Lafontaine
Rue Lafontaine Road West between Cedar Point Road and 287 Rue Lafontaine Road West

Perkinsfield
Balm Beach Road West between 40 Balm Beach Road West and County Road 6 South
Balm Beach Road East between County Road 6 South and 116 Balm Beach Road East
County Road 6 South between Balm Beach Road West and 153 County Road 6 South
County Road 6 North between Balm Beach Road East and Asselin Drive

Wyevale
County Road 6 South between 904 County Road 6 South and Matilda Street
Concession Road 5 West between 10 Concession Road 5 West and County Road 6 South
Concession Road 5 East between County Road 6 South and Howard Avenue

Pedestrians and motorists are asked to avoid the fresh concrete while it dries until the supporting forms have been removed by crews.

When you see a vehicle with a green flashing light - please pull over! It is a volunteer firefighter responding to a call in a personal vehicle.

By yielding like you would for a firetruck, the firefighter can reach those in need quickly.

Flags at Township of Tiny facilities will be at half-mast in recognition of the profound loss of OPP Provincial Constable Tarun Bali that was killed in the line of duty. Our thoughts are with the family, friends, and colleagues of Constable Bali at this time.

It is with deep sorrow that I confirm that OPP Provincial Constable Tarun Bali was killed in the line of duty this afternoon in Hearst. His courage and commitment to serving others will never be forgotten. As we grieve this immeasurable loss, I extend our heartfelt condolences to his loved ones, colleagues and the policing community.

Fire Hazard: Moderate Danger Rating 🔥

The Township of Tiny has downgraded our fire rating to moderate.

A moderate danger rating means forest fuels and ground vegetation are drying and there is an increased risk of surface fires starting. Open air burning is permitted by permit only.

Always check the fire rating before starting a fire at tiny.ca/FireRating.

Fire permits can be purchased online, at several local businesses, or online at tiny.ca/FirePermit.

Roadside mowing is starting soon in Tiny! 🚜 🚧

The Township of Tiny conducts roadside mowing 2-3 times per year for maintenance, w**d control, and infrastructure purposes to ensure our roadways are safe for drivers and pedestrians.

If you find crews out with tractors and mowers while cutting the side of the road, please slow down, give them space to work, and pass with caution! Always remember to yield to oncoming traffic while passing.

Lithium-ion batteries are found in devices such as cellphones, laptops, smartwatches, cordless vacuums, and power tools such as drills.🔋

Tiny firefighters remind you to never throw lithium-ion batteries into the garbage. These batteries need to be safely disposed of at one of the County of Simcoe’s waste depots.
