ERS is an agency like no other. We take great pride in providing our wonderful team of Foster Parents, Child and Youth Workers, therapists and trained professionals with the tools, training, resources and support needed to provide each and every child with a nurturing, safe and compassionate environment. We are proud to offer a Foster Treatment program like no other, serving the needs of children and youth ranging in age from infant to 18 years.

We have been licensed with the Ministry of Children and Youth Services since 2008 and work with over 20 placing agencies across Ontario. We work tirelessly to offer a unique Foster Treatment program that not only meets industry and ministry standards, but exceeds them.

Eastern Residential Services Incorporated (ERS Foster Care) has offices located in the Peterborough, Kingston, Niagara, Hamilton, Muskoka, North Bay and Simcoe County and surrounding regions of Ontario.

Our therapeutic treatment homes provide family based care to children and youth with a variety of needs including, but not limited to Physiological/Psychiatric disorders (anxiety, depression), Developmental and Cognitive Disorders (Autism, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome), Brain Injury and Behaviour Disorders (ADHD, ODD) and Physical Disabilities (cerebral palsy).

ERS offers the following supports to their foster parents : - Access to 24/7 on-call emergency support from each Regional Supervisor - monthly training sessions from qualified and trained instructors - monthly access to a qualified Child & Youth Worker for each youth in care - 48 hours per month of respite services - Special ERS group activities and functions - Competitive $80 per diem rate per youth in their care - one week vacation respite per year Our criteria and selection process is designed to seek out those who are committed to providing Excellence in Care and Service to our children and youth. ERS uses the Structured Analysis Family Evaluation (S.A.F.E.) Home Study tool for this process.

ERS offers the following supports to children and youth in our care: - monthly therapy sessions with a qualified local therapist - access to qualified Child and Youth workers - funding for recreational activities: such as summer camp - Special ERS group activities and functions - funding for supports and services specifically tailored to their needs -transitional funds for when a youth turns 18 years old - access to the many available supports and services within their community including but not limited to recreational, educational and highly reputable mental health and therapeutic supports.

Our daily commitment is a reflection of this vision. Many people contemplate welcoming a child into their home through foster care or adoption.
