Georgian Bay Native Friendship Centre "Maintaining a 'community first' approach in improving the quality of life for urban Indigenous people."

Each one of the feathers on our logo represents a native community within the surrounding area of Midland, Ontario. There are four surrounding colours in the picture which represents the four sacred colours of the Anishnaabe. These four colours also represent the four directions of the Medicine Wheel. Yellow- East
Red- South
Black- West
White- North

We use the Eagle on our logo because the Eagle

is highly respected by Indigenous people. The Eagle is known as the keeper of the peace of the Great Spirit.
