WATER IS BACK ON
The electrical problems have been fixed and we have water again. Remember that there is a Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory as attached below and you will be informed once this has been lifted.

There is no estimated repair time for water but the problem is a broken wire on the main power transformer in the back alley behind the pumphouse which in turn fried our power boards in the pumphouse. We have someone on their way to Saskatoon to pick up new boards and once they have been replaced, the electrician will inspect to make sure there is no damage to our pumps. A water tank is parked beside the village office for anyone who needs water for flushing and emergency purposes. A Precautionary Boil Water Advisory has been issued. We are sorry for the problem this has caused.

Pumphouse Update: An electrician has arrived and Sask Power is on their way. From what we understand there is an electrical problem, possibly in the alley as the RM Office has power issues as well. You will be informed once we know more of estimated repair time.

FINALLY, PRECAUTIONARY WATER ADVISORY HAS BEEN RESCINDED.

Sask. Power has completed the pole replacement so there should be no further planned power disruptions. Also, the technician was out to inspect our pumphouse generator, found the problem and has ordered parts so we are hoping to have it repaired soon.

Our Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory is still in effect until our water distribution system is reliably restored with generator in working condition. We will then need to send in two consecutive sets of three bacteriological samples and once these results are back, the advisory will be rescinded.

We realize this has caused inconvenience and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to restore normal service. You will be notified on facebook and on post office door once the advisory has been rescinded.

MORE UPDATES: Sask. Power has one more pole to replace in the alley behind the pumphouse that will take place tomorrow, Friday, September 11 from 8:30 am until noon. Therefore, we will have no water during that time and the blocks north and south of the pumphouse will have no power. Again, thank you for your patience!

PLEASE NOTE: Just heard from Sask Power that they will be starting on the last pole replacement in back alley next to the pumphouse within the next 45 minutes. Our generator is not fixed so be prepared to be without water for up to 5 hours. Sorry for the inconvenience this will cause.

Thank you all for your patience during the recent power outages. There will be one more power and possibly water outage either Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. Sask. Power will be returning to complete their work in the alley behind the pumphouse. When this happens and if our generator has not been repaired, we will not have water while the power is off which could be up to 5 hours. Please be prepared and have some water on hand to drink, wash and/or flush toilets.

We are still under a Precautionary Boil Water Advisory until there are no further power outages and have sent our required water samples for testing.
