Congratulations to Ryan Huntley and Mathew Graham and the elected ward members. Last night was not the outcome I was hoping for but I do apriciate everyones support and commitment toward the campaign I ran. Cavan Monaghan will be in good hands with those two leading. ✅

The Community Hall at the CMCC will open at 7:30pm for anyone wishing to view 2022 Municipal Election results in person. Real-time results will also be available through our voting portal https://cavanmonaghan.simplyvoting.com/. School Board Trustees' results will be posted on the Municipal website and at the Municipal Office as soon as they are available. The Community Hall will close at 8:30 p.m. once the results have been displayed. We remind everyone if you are not feeling well to please stay home.

Tomorrow is the last day for residents of Cavan Monaghan to select their representatives on Council for the next four years.
When the new Council begins its term, we will be focused on ensuring our community is one where all residents can flourish. I want to continue building Cavan Monaghan into a place to where we can all live, work, learn, and play.

I want to thank all members of the current Council for your commitment to what I am sure felt (at times) a thankless job but also an honour of a lifetime. You have left Cavan Monaghan in better shape than you first found it. Thank you!

To all candidates vying for office this election, I thank you for putting your lives on hold for the betterment of our community. You made this election better through your engagement and passion.

To Kathy, David, and Lance, you have all run robust and respectful campaigns. The four of us will continue to work together over the next four years to ensure the residents of Ward 3 are properly represented on the Council floor. Thank you for being quality candidates and amazing individuals!

Third party advertising is certainly having a presence in this year’s election. For those of you concerned about “Big City influences” trying to change our town, I draw your attention to the attached audio-clip of a robocall making its way to landlines across our township.
The concept of annexation is a non-starter for each and every candidate in this election. Yet, a registered third-party individual, who has had political ties to a local developer, wants to convince you that her slate of candidates are the best to stop annexation.
For the record, I am against annexation. I will fight it tooth and nail. It will never happen on my watch.
I don’t need developers funding my message. I work for you. The people of Cavan Monaghan are the only group I get my marching orders from.

It has been a busy few days door knocking and meeting with the residents at the Manor, Centennial Place then meeting with the Maple Leaf - Cavan FC organizers and volunteers.
Heard some really validated concerns and listened to new ideas and ways we could tackle these so thank you.
You have until Oct 24th to VOTE✅ please make sure you do, you can vote anytime from now until then.
You want to be heard and have an actionable role in this township, vote for communication, transparency and action. I will get things done and you will know about whats going on in this township!

Was great meeting with some of you yesterday while I was out door knocking, to the ones that were not home I left my card please reach out so we can speak. I want to make sure everyone gets a chance to be heard and an opportunity to meet me. Voting is so important!!! Tell your neighbour's, your friends, your family, see if your senior friends need help and contact the township if you have still not received your voting pin !!!

I look forward to your support tomorrow when voting officially opens. Please know your vote will make a difference and the next 4 years will be a crucial time for Cavan Monaghan, together we can make sure the appropriate opportunities are taken, the right decisions regarding our township are made, we keep developers and stakeholders accountable and keep the beauty and heritage of this township the focus for future generations to enjoy.

Our Fall Festival event was a fantastic day, thank you to all who attended and supported our local shops and vendors. Our last debate was last night you can view that on the all candidates page. Thank you to everyone that has took the time to come out to these debates. Its a great way to get the information you need for deciding who you will vote for. I look forward to continuing my campaign and meeting more of our community members and understanding whats important to you. If you would like more information please don't hesitate to email me. I will continue to engage with our community, listen, be vocal on important matters and make sure we get the chanages we need. I will be grateful for your support on October 11th!

Question: I received two Voter Identification Letters, one under my maiden name and one under my married name? Can I vote under both?

Answer: NO! Please note that it is against the law to vote more than once for any elected office within the same municipality or school board jurisdiction.

Please contact the Clerk’s Department at the Township Office to ensure your voter information is correct. If you receive a letter under a name you no longer use please return it to your local municipal office. Clearly mark on the outside of the envelope the reason for the return.

Was out this morning to help our decorating committee take out the summer plants so they could change the seasonal decor. Fantastic fall planters from our Decorating committee! A group of volunteers that are always making our streets look better down in the village of Millbrook! Thank you!
