We've had another great food rescue donation from the Vulcan Regional Food Bank Society, including:

Sea salt and black pepper Turkish
Cobs focaccia Italian herb loaf
Various hamburger buns
Hot dog buns
Cobs pizza base
Sweet potatoes (lots!)
Plums

Some local gardeners have also just donated:
Zucchini
Cucumbers

Come by and help yourself!

While the next official food rescue delivery is Tuesday (Sept 1) we have had a few recent donations including:

- fresh-from-the-garden zuccini
- one baby gold summer squash
- Western Family romaine hearts
- Aria brand cherry tomatoes

And we still have some baby cucumbers and sweet potatoes from the last delivery.

Come on by and help yourself!

We are fast approaching the August 25th raffle draw for the Vulcan County 75th Anniversary mug! Come by the library and put your name in the hat...er, mug.

Join us at 1:30 for our last summer reading program session when we'll be reading "Ten Little Fish" by Audrey and Bruce Wood, making shark headbands, and playing a giant matching card game.

We'll also finally see who wins the grand prize draw and our summer reading challenge Lego kits!

The program is most suited to kids 4-12. If any younger ones want to participate, we just ask that they have a helper with them.

Time flies when you're having fun reading, making crafts, and playing games. This Thursday is our last Summer Reading Program session of 2026.
