Still thinking about the thoughtful presentations featured at the conference on “A Changed America: How Should Canada and the World Respond?” recently held at Massey College. The event put on by the NATO Association of Canada, the Bill Graham Centre for Contemporary International History, the University of Toronto/Trinity College, and the Canadian International Council was thought-provoking . The conference brought scholars, diplomats, policymakers, journalists, and security experts together to discuss a path forward for Canada as the world changes and our future becomes less clear.
The highlight of the day was the keynote address by The Hon. Bob Rae, Canada’s Former Ambassador to the United Nations. Rae was honest and straightforward in his comments about the complex world we’re now living in.

recently had the honour of participating in a fireside chat with Alex Ihama as part of the Sixth Session of the Canadian Congress on Diversity & Inclusion. It was an incredibly energizing experience for me. I am so thankful to have been in a virtual room with so many impressive trailblazers. Folks on the ground who are working tireless every day to build kind, thoughtful and caring communities. You are all amazing!! Thank you Alex Ihama for giving me the opportunity to talk about the important issues facing all of us, during this challenging moment in time. We all have a shared responsibility to stand against racism and hate, and recognize the important role social justice plays in building strong democracies.

Thank you to every speaker, panelist, entertainer, host, volunteer, moderator, participant, and to those who registered but were unable to attend the Sixth Session of the Canadian Congress on Diversity & Inclusion. You are amazing. Hundreds of people coming together to engage such critical issues at...
