📢REMINDER: The Perth East Admin Office is closed today from 11:30am to 1:30pm for a Staff and Council appreciation lunch!
📬Documents/ payments can be dropped off in the mail slot by the Council Chambers entrance during this time.

⚠️ ATTENTION SHAKESPEARE MUNICIPAL WATER USERS ⚠️

The contractor constructing the new Shakespeare Water Treatment Plant will be making a connection to the Township's water distribution system today, June 3, between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Stevenson Street.

A total of 17 properties will be affected by this temporary water outage. Residents impacted by the outage received notification on Friday, May 29, 2026.

Following the connection, it is anticipated there may be temporary water discolouration due to disturbances within the distribution system. Township operators will make every effort to isolate and clear the affected lines to minimize disruption.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as this important infrastructure work is completed.

Your designation determines which school board you support and which trustee election you can vote in on October 26, 2026 – and helps ensure Elections Ontario has the right information.

In Ontario, there are five options: English-Public, English-Separate (Catholic), French-Public, French-Separate (Catholic), and Protestant-Separate (Penetanguishene only). 🏫

By default, your designation is set to English-Public, unless you choose to change it, if eligible to do so.

The 2026 Municipal and School Board Election is coming up in October!
Confirm you are on the voters list and that all your information is accurate online BEFORE August 12th!
After August 12th you will need to come into the administration office to do so.
