Ernie's Cottages and Campground is located 70 miles from Wawa in the tiny hamlet of Missanabie, Ontario. There are 16 cabins furnished with everything you need, from beds to pots and pans and utensils to microwave, toaster, fridge, stove, BBQ, coffeepot and satellite TV. Every cabin has air conditioning and a furnace. There are also countless campsites, both for tenting and for motor homes, with
30-amp service and water at several sites. We have a 5 bedroom unit available. Each room has 1 single and 1 double bed, 2 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen. We also have an outpost cabin with solar power, that sleeps 9. Located right on the shore of beautiful Dog Lake, Ernie's Cottages and Campground has everything the fishing enthusiast could possibly need. There are boats and motors available to rent, 2 boat launches, gas pumps at the water, ample docking space, a bait shop and fish cleaning facility. There is also a guide service, with the option of traveling to remote lakes. The fishing is outstanding on Dog Lake. With over 300 miles of shoreline, Dog Lake is a huge, sprawling body of water that plays host to several species of fish. Walleye, Northern Pike, Jumbo Perch, Lake Trout and small Mouth Bass can all be found here. When the fish aren't biting (which of course they always are) Ernie's Restaurant offers up the ideal distraction. Licensed by the L.C.B.O., and with the best burgers you'll ever eat, it's the perfect place to swap stories. We've got a pool table and satellite T.V.
