Today we took in 8 kitties in need of transfer from another shelter.

Some had lingered due to missing a leg, missing an eye or other disabilities and needed a new change of scenery to find their loving families.

At CTRS we love helping special kitties like this and hope our community can come together to help us find their loving homes despite their imperfections. ❤️

🆘 URGENT DRIVER NEEDED SORRENTO BC TO MISSION BC🆘

thursday-Saturday as the Rescue in Sorrento will be collecting them from Alberta wednesday and sadly doesn’t have a Foster of the resources to intake them so asked for support

mom with 4 babies needing a ride, kittens have ch (balance disorder) and farmer wants them gone, one was already drowned 😭

Ch cats can live a very normal happy life!

Can you help Smores? FUNDS RAISED 🎉

Smores is only just a baby but has already suffered more than anyone should.

She suffered a badly broken leg at the hands of an abuser who also tried to light her and her sibling on fire before someone intervened.

We have surgery booked with a board certified surgeon Monday and we’re going to do our very best to try and save the leg, but we might not be able to and in that case, she will be a three legged kitten.

Surgery is estimated to be nearly $1000 and the adoption fee barely covers the other basics that we include for adoption, such as spay, microchip, vaccinations, etc.

We absolutely love helping these types of cases but we cant do it without support.

This is not an update we wanted to make.

We only got Crab 6 days ago and ever since we got him, he has been hospitalized in intensive care on IV fluids, and having blood work done on intake and today in the hopes that we could improve his kidney values that were completely off the charts.

Even with all the care, medication and IV fluids he’s been on his kidneys have actually declined even further, so they are in the very late stages of kidney failure. We had hopes it was AKI which can improve with aggressive treatment.

Even though many cats can be managed with kidney failure, his was so severe that if he went off IV fluids for a week his organs would shut down completely.

He was not an old cat, but he had a very hard life where he suffered a long time without care that just ravaged his body and created permanent damage.

Even after the surgery for the horrible infection on his face, the bone was so severely infected that his wounds kept leaking.

We are so thankful that everybody jumped to the opportunity to help save him so we didnt have to think twice and knew we had the support of the community to try our best. At the very least he knew what love and care was in the end and we tried our best to save him. ❤️‍🩹

I can tell you as someone who deals with these types of things every day, tears still run down my face as I write this and my heart is shattered into a million pieces.
