As we enter the 2026 General Local Election period, we want to remind our community that the City of Mission’s social media channels remain a place to share information, ask questions and engage respectfully.

To help maintain a constructive and welcoming space for everyone, comments and content that violate the City’s Social Media Terms of Use may be removed. This includes personal attacks, defamatory or discriminatory comments, obscene or inappropriate content, promotion of political candidates, promotion of illegal activity, or content that may compromise public safety or security.

Please keep discussions respectful and focused on the issues. Disagreement is welcome, however, disrespect is not.

Please also keep in mind that City social media channels are monitored during regular business hours, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Outside of these hours, we generally only monitor for time-sensitive or emergency matters. Questions or concerns posted outside these hours may not receive an immediate response.

For formal requests or concerns requiring a response from the City, please use the appropriate City contact channels rather than relying on social media.
