PCAS recently hosted our Back-to-School Backpack Distribution Clinic, bringing families together for a day focused on helping children feel prepared and confident for the new school year.

From backpacks and school essentials to haircut services, the event was all about supporting local families and making the back-to-school season a little easier. 💙✂️

During these 3 weeks of in-person training, participants will learn practical skills including:

✅ Digital Skills for Beginners: Learn how to use email, shop securely online, and communicate confidently through Zoom and social media.

✅ Microsoft Office 365: Build practical skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to improve productivity and create professional documents and presentations.

✅ Digital Security: Understand cybersecurity basics, recognize online threats, protect personal information, and practice safer digital habits.

✅ Tech Refurbishment: Learn how to restore, reuse, and upgrade computers to extend their lifespan.

✅ Wraparound Learning Support: Access referrals for employment, settlement, counselling, certificate programs, and other community resources.

Looking back at a meaningful moment from this year's NAAW 2026🧘‍♀️✨

PCAS brought the community together for a refreshing Yoga Session focused on wellness, mindfulness and creating an inclusive space where everyone could feel comfortable, supported and connected.

Through guided movement and mindful breathing, participants had the opportunity to slow down, recharge and enjoy a positive experience together. It was a wonderful reminder of the importance of supporting physical and mental well-being within our community. 💙
