Thanks again to Kurt's Meats for supplying delicious Hamburgers and Hot Dogs at METS Annual BBQ. The weather may have been a little wet but it did not put a damper on our appetites and everyone enjoyed their lunch. Great way to end the summer.

The New Brunswick Association for Supported Services and Employment (NBASSE) Board of Directors is very pleased to welcome Lamia Kawtharani-Chami to the NBASSE team as Executive Director. Lamia brings extensive experience in research, education, consultation and management in both private, nonprofit and government organizations. The NBASSE Board of Directors and association members look forward to working with her in supporting Employment and Support Services Program (ESSP) agencies throughout New Brunswick.

Moncton Employment & Training Services, Inc was very pleased to welcome the Hon. Ginette Petitpas-Taylor, MP for Moncton and Dieppe for her visit. It was a great opportunity for her to tour METS facilities and witness the various training programs offered, as well as employment opportunities to over 140 individuals participating in METS services.

It was also a chance for her to visit with the four students who were hired through the Canada Summer Jobs grants. As a non-profit organization, this funding is essential in maintaining operations during the summer months, as well as providing valuable experiences to the students.

Thank you, Ginette Petitpas-Taylor, for taking the time to visit METS and your ongoing support.

Once again this year, the people in METS' Personal Development Services visited Farmer Browns Greenhouse to plant window boxes which we care for all summer. We would like to thank Lisa and all of the staff for making this an educational and enjoyable activity, and we look forward to seeing the plants all summer!
