This region consists of those peoples living East of the Brackley Point Road and West of Dingwells Mills. Get ready to Discover Hockey Off the Ice with this exciting 9-session program for girls and boys starting September 12, 2026 at the Souris Tennis Courts! We will be playing Wednesday afternoons / evenings and Saturday mornings until October 10th, 2026!

🌿🚶‍♀️ What a wonderful way to finish our Summer Murray River Walking Group! 🚶‍♂️🌿

Today was the last walk of our summer program, and we want to say a huge thank you to all of our participants for your enthusiasm, engagement, positive energy, and kindness throughout the summer. ❤️

A special thank you to all the amazing staff, community partners and the Sport, Recreation and Physical Activity Division of the PEI Gov., who helped make this program possible. Your support means so much to us! 🙌

And, of course, we are grateful to God and Mother Nature for blessing us with these beautiful places to explore, enjoy, and appreciate. 🌲🌊☀️

But don't worry… we're not done walking yet! 😉

🍂🥾 Stay tuned for our Fall Walking Group! This fall, we'll explore six different trails throughout the eastern region of Prince Edward Island, discovering new places, staying active, enjoying nature, and sharing great conversations along the way.

🏀 What a great time we had during the third session of our Intro to Sport Program! 🙌

This week, we had the opportunity to practice an amazing sport that has a special connection to Canada: basketball! 🏀

Did you know that basketball was invented in December 1891 by Canadian physical education instructor Dr. James Naismith? 🇨🇦

Our participants had a fantastic time learning, playing, and developing their basketball skills! 👏

🏈 Next week, we're switching sports!

Join us on Wednesday, August 26 at 4:30 PM at the Multi-Sport Courts in Souris, where we'll be having fun and practicing flag football! 🏈

We can't wait to see everyone there! 💪😊

🌲 **What a beautiful day on the Beck Trail in Murray River!** 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

Today, we walked part of the **Beck Trail** and enjoyed some beautiful weather—not too hot, no rain, and best of all… **no mosquitoes!** 😂 Just enough humidity to remind us that we were deep in the woods! 🌿

It was a wonderful opportunity to enjoy nature, have great conversations, relax, and stay active. 💚

🚣‍♀️ What a great experience at our first Dory Rowing Class in Murray River! 🌊

Our participants did an amazing job and had a fantastic time on the water!

A big thank you to our amazing instructors and to our young rowers, Ellen Moore and Grace London , for sharing their skills and enthusiasm with us. 👏 We also want to wish them the very best of luck in their race next weekend in Lunenburg, NS! 🏆🚣‍♀️ You’ve got this, girls! 💪

Despite one of the hottest days of the summer in PEI, we had an amazing start to our Intro to Sport program! ☀️⚽

The heat didn't stop us from having fun, sharing lots of smiles, and learning new soccer skills through exciting games and drills. We definitely have some talented young athletes in our community!

The fun isn't over yet! We still have three more sessions to go:

🏈 Flag Football

What a wonderful group of walkers! 🚶🍃

We enjoyed a beautiful morning on the Confederation Trail, soaking up the sunshine, the fresh breeze, and the amazing scenery around us.

A special thank you to Faith from the Southeast Environmental Association for joining us and sharing her knowledge about the local environment. We truly appreciated learning more about the nature that surrounds us.

We'll be back next week to explore another section of the trail, and we'd love for you to join us! Invite your friends, family, and neighbours—everyone is welcome.
