L’arrondissement de Parc-Extension est particulièrement touché par la précarité, avec une proportion de travailleurs et travailleuses pauvres évaluée à 30,7% en 2006 et un taux de chômage avoisinant les 15% en 2013, alors que pour le reste du Québec, le taux de chômage est à 7,5%.
Ensemble, à partir du 5 novembre, nous pouvons élaborer un véritable plan de lutte contre la pauvreté et le chômage dans Parc-Extension! 💼

The borough of Parc-Extension is particularly affected by job insecuirty, with a proportion of poor workers estimated at 30.7% in 2006 and an unemployment rate of around 15% in 2013, while for the rest of Quebec, the unemployment rate is at 7.5%.
Together, from November 5th, we will develop a real plan to fight against poverty and unemployment in Parc-Extension! 💼

We deplore that the free opening hours to the exterior site of the Botanical Garden have been cut. Add your voice by signing the petition!

At the June 16th city council, Projet Montréal elected officials filed a motion seeking to give back citizens the same access they had to the Botanical Garden prior to the Mosaïcultures held in 2013. Previously, residents had free access to the exterior gardens of the Botanical Garden, from dawn to dusk. From now on, it is only open from 9 am to 6 pm – unless one choses to purchase the early-bird pass to have access from 6 to 9 am. There is no card for access after 6 pm, even though there is still lots of daylight.
