❤️‍🩹 La place de l’amour et de l’attachement dans le lien avec l’enfant

🫂 Dans notre série « Les mots et les gestes comptent dans les approches axées sur le trauma », quatre nouvelles infographies ont été créées. Cette première porte sur la notion d’amour et d’attachement dans le cadre d'intervention et rappelle que, si aimer un enfant est important, cela ne suffit pas toujours à répondre à ses besoins. En effet, ce qui soutient réellement son développement, ce sont des relations stables, sensibles et sécurisantes.

❤️‍🩹 The Role of Love and Attachment in the Bond with a Child

🫂 In our series “Words and Actions Matter in Trauma-Informed Approaches,” four new infographics have been created. This first one focuses on the concepts of love and attachment during interventions and reminds us that while loving a child is important, it is not always enough to meet their needs. In fact, what truly supports their development are stable, responsive, and secure relationships.

✨ Pour le mois de juin, nous souhaitons mettre de l'avant notre membre Annie Grenier.

Annie Grenier est criminologue et agente de planification, de programmation et de recherche au CISSS Montérégie-Est. Elle possède plus de 20 ans d’expérience en protection de la jeunesse, notamment comme éducatrice et en soutien clinique. Elle contribue activement à l’implantation des approches axées sur le trauma et du modèle ARC auprès des jeunes en difficulté d’adaptation. Formatrice dans ce domaine, elle partage également son expertise afin d’améliorer les pratiques auprès des jeunes les plus vulnérables.

✨ For the month of June, we’d like to highlight our member Annie Grenier.

Annie Grenier is a criminologist and planning, programming, and research officer at the CISSS Montérégie-Est. She has over 20 years of experience in child welfare, notably as an educator and in clinical support. She actively contributes to the implementation of trauma-informed approaches and the ARC model for youth with adjustment difficulties. As a trainer in this field, she also shares her expertise to improve practices for the most vulnerable youth.

📘 The DSM: a diagnostic tool… but not a complete definition of a person

🔎 For some people, receiving a diagnosis helps them put their experiences into words, better understand themselves, access services, obtain accommodations, or reduce feelings of isolation. For others, a diagnosis is not always necessary or desired. A person may be experiencing difficulties, seeking support, or wanting to improve their well-being without feeling the need to be associated with a diagnostic label. Beyond the diagnosis, what matters most is listening to each person’s needs, experiences, and unique circumstances.
