Yesterday’s International Court of Justice ruling is a win for workers around the world.

The court affirms that the right to strike is a protected right under international law

These rights were won by workers organizing. We will always defend our right to bargain collectively and withdraw our labour.

PSAC - UNDE Local 40807 workers are on strike. They work at 15 Wing for Sodexo (an outside contractor)as maintenance and food provision staff. They want their employer to get back to the bargaining table and negotiate a fair collective agreement. Please support them and join them if you can. This is a rotating strike, so check the following website each morning to see if the line is active that day. Sending strength and solidarity 💪

By now it’s unsurprising that Carney’s Liberals are openly anti-worker, repeatedly caving to corporate interests and violating the right to strike through Section 107 of the Canada Labour Code.

While the Liberals quietly plan changes to our labour laws that ignore the voices of workers, Canada’s NDP / Le NPD du Canada is saying loud and clear: no more attacks on workers’ rights.

As the government teams up with big CEOs to roll back fundamental rights, we need working class communities across Canada to resist corporate-backed authoritarianism. That starts with passing to repeal Section 107 of the Canada Labour Code.
