06/17/2026

⚠️The City of Morden has introduced new rules and regulations for the use of e-scooters, e-bikes, and other Personal Electric Vehicles (PEVs).

Please take note of these important changes which are now in effect:

1. Helmets are mandatory for riders of all ages.
2. Only one rider is permitted at a time.
3. Riding is not permitted on city sidewalks or boulevards.
4. PEVs must be ridden as close as possible to the right-hand curb of the road, traveling in the same direction as traffic.
5. Riders must obey and follow all traffic laws and traffic control devices.
6. During dusk and dark, all PEVs must be equipped with an operating headlight and a red or amber rear light or reflector.

These regulations will be enforced by the city’s By-law officer as well as Morden Police Service members, with the shared goal of raising public awareness of the new rules and to increase public safety.

Offenses may incur a warning, monetary fine, or in cases of flagrant repeated abuse, a PEV may be impounded.

Residents are encouraged to reference Traffic Control By-Law 26BL07 for complete details.
