Teach your child to use the Pause, Point and Proceed method:

✋ Pause — Stop, look and make sure vehicles have come to a complete stop.
👉 Point — Point across the road to show drivers you’re ready to cross.
🚶 Proceed — When it’s safe, cross while continuing to watch for traffic.

🚌 School buses are back on the road!

With the new school year underway, the Alberta RCMP is reminding drivers to slow down, stay alert and know the rules around school buses.

🚨 Red lights flashing + stop arm extended = STOP
Drivers travelling in both directions must stop unless the roadway is physically divided by a median.

🟡 Yellow lights flashing = SLOW DOWN
The bus is preparing to stop. Reduce your speed and be ready to stop.

Remember:
🛑 Don’t proceed until the red lights stop flashing and the stop arm is retracted.
👀 Watch carefully for children entering or exiting the bus.
🚗 On a divided highway, only vehicles travelling behind the bus are required to stop.

Failing to stop for a school bus can result in a fine of up to $567 and six demerit points.

A few extra seconds of patience can help keep our students safe. 💛

Designed to help adults 65+ live safely and comfortably at home, this program connects seniors with trusted, vetted private contractors for everyday support at competitive rates.

Available services include:
🧹 Housekeeping: Year-round (weekdays only; no statutory holidays)
🌿 Basic lawn care: May 15 – August 31
❄️ Snow removal: November 1 – March 31

𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲: A temporary road closure will be in place while crews are working. Signage is in place, and the road will reopen in the evening on workdays.

Residents may park on the street in the evening if they have not been directly notified that work is taking place in front of their property.

🚧 Utility repairs on 98 Avenue – September 3 & 4

Utility crews will perform operational repairs on Thursday, September 3 and Friday, September 4, on 98 Avenue between 95 Street and Morinville Drive.

Drivers travelling through the area should expect minor traffic impacts. Please watch for crews and signage and use caution while travelling through the work area. 🚗
