Due to the dry conditions, Starland County has implemented a "Fire Advisory" for all of Starland County effective May 5, 2026.

This will remain in effect until conditions change or we see significant moisture.

Controlled burn permits will be issued on a case-by-case basis and may be revoked at any time.

This does not prevent the use of BBQs, fire pits and other recreational fires. However, it is highly recommended to only use it when conditions are suitable, precautions are taken, and proper fire containment, such as grates or screens, is used in conjunction.
