The supplier of strychnine has advised that they will be starting production soon and very limited quantities may be available in the next several weeks. You will need to complete an appx 90 minute training course online (sarm.ca/strychnine-stewardship-training) and fill in a treatment plan and declaration form in order to obtain product. Please contact the office should you have any questions.

We will be accepting applications until 4pm on Friday June 5th for a full-time seasonal Equipment Operator (appx May 1- Oct 31). Primary duties will be operation of a tractor/mower, however opportunities exist to obtain experience on other equipment. A class 5 license is required. While previous experience and a class 1A license is preferred, we are prepared to train the right candidate.

The RM is accepting applications until June 5th for it's Community Capital Grant program to assist organizations in the RM as well as Herbert, Morse & Ernfold with projects to upgrade recreational and cultural infrastructure. Please contact the office for an application form or further details.

Strychnine update - we have learned that there will be mandatory training in order to purchase strychnine - the course is presently being developed and should be available sometime in May. It will be available online and take approximately 90 minutes to complete. More details to follow. we have been told not to expect any strychnine until at least mid-June. In the meantime alternate eligible gopher control products are eligible for a rebate. Claim forms should be available at the RM office shortly.
