Hello, everyone!

Last week, I refinished a vintage cedar chest - this is a personal project and will be going up to our cottage, to hold our blankets and quilts in.

Such a soft, warm colour - serene and calm, this washed blue-grey has a drop of pale green in it. Perfect for a relaxing cottage vibe :)

The trim has been painted in a slightly lighter tone, but blends in so well, it is almost unnoticeable.

Very pleased with how this turned out! :)

I rarely post refinished items which are for personal use, but I've been thinking lately, I should change that! ;)

Last year we were very busy, rebuilding our cottage, and I furnished it with restored and refinished items.

Last week, I finished this vintage rocker (before and after). I almost didn't want to refinish it, as the original state was very uninspiring. But, once I painted it, it became very modern and sleek! I'm in love with this chair now, and can hardly wait to take it up to the cottage!!

The colour is an on-trend, rich dark blue on the edge of black, with a pearlized metallic glaze on top.

I am now in love with chairs!! :)

New inventory!!

I just inherited a few items from my husband's mother, who recently moved into a nursing home, and could not take her furniture with her.

There are a few pieces which are in perfect condition, but there are some others that are in need of refinishing. I am ever so grateful for these pieces and will try my best to refurbish them with care ;)

We have a vintage:
- sewing storage cabinet
- tall side table (or hall table)
- cedar chest
- banker's chair
- deacon's bench

With our current isolation in effect, this will certainly keep me busy for the next few weeks! ;)
