Rotary Club of Nanaimo

Rotary Club of Nanaimo is where neighbors, friends, and problem-solvers share ideas, join leaders and take action to create lasting change. We meet at 12 p.m.

Each day, our members pour their passion into projects that have a lasting impact. We are roughly 65 professional and business men and women dedicated to improving our community as well as communities around the world. on most Fridays at the Nanaimo Golf Club. Members enjoy Rotary fellowship over lunch which is followed by a short business meeting and a guest speaker. The meetings conclude at 1:30

Members support some of our projects directly with their time, expertise and effort and others indirectly by donations. Fundraising is used to carry out the good work of Rotary in our community and internationally. Our major fund raiser is our Used Book Sale held in the spring and fall. The majority of the proceeds from our fundraisers go directly to our community with a smaller portion going to international projects. Members also donate to Rotary Foundation which supports Local and International Projects, the largest being the Eradication of Polio worldwide. We can be contacted by mail or email

It takes a dedicated group of people to bring something like this together, and we are so grateful for everyone who showed up and contributed.

💙 Thank You, Nanaimo North Town Centre

We are incredibly grateful to Nanaimo North Town Centre for once again hosting the Rotary Club of Nanaimo Book Sale.

Their generous support and donation of space made it possible for us to collect, sort, store, and sell thousands of books, creating an event that brings our community together while raising funds for important local and international initiatives.

This sale would not be possible without their continued partnership and commitment to supporting the Nanaimo community.

📚 Thank You, Nanaimo ❤️

What an incredible book sale. Our community showed up in a big way, and together we sold tens of thousands of books over the past 10 days.

From the moment the doors opened to the final day, it was amazing to see so many people come through, return again, and share in the excitement of finding great reads while supporting something meaningful.

Because of you, the funds raised will go right back into programs and organizations that strengthen our community and support important initiatives beyond it.

When you shop at the Rotary Club of Nanaimo Book Sale, you are doing more than picking up a great read. You are helping support people, programs, and projects that strengthen communities here in Nanaimo and beyond.

Proceeds from the sale help fund organizations and initiatives such as the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation, Literacy Central Vancouver Island, Island Crisis Care Society, Nanaimo Child Development Centre, and Rotary Student Exchange.
