Online spaces shape the way young people learn about relationships, gender, and identity.

As harmful "red pill" and manosphere content becomes more visible, it is important to examine how messages that promote distrust, entitlement, and misogyny can contribute to unhealthy relationship norms and the normalization of violence.

Prevention starts with education.

That is why Lennox & Addington Interval House supports Coaching Boys Into Men, a program that empowers young men to become leaders who model respect, promote healthy relationships, and speak up against harmful behaviours.

By investing in positive role models and healthy conversations, we can help young people build a future grounded in empathy, accountability, consent, and equality.

Purple Thursday is a day to recognize how often brain injury and interpersonal violence intersect, especially for survivors who have experienced strangulation. Many people do not realize how dangerous strangulation is or how quickly it can cause serious harm. Loss of consciousness can happen within seconds, and survivors often carry long-term effects that are overlooked or mistaken for stress.

Raising awareness helps people understand the signs of brain injury and the realities survivors face when violence targets the head, face, and neck. Volunteers and community partners across the country are working today to highlight this issue and support programs that help people stay safe.

Share these slides. Talk about what you learn. Support the work happening in your community. Awareness can create real change, and your voice matters. 💜 🗣
