Times can get tough β€” and sometimes, life throws us unexpected expenses.

Whether it’s a surprise bill, a sudden expense, or just a difficult time making ends meet, please know that we’re here to help.❀️

You don’t have to be a regular food bank client to reach out to us. If you’re going through a tough time, you’re welcome to access a food order once every 30 days.

And getting started is easy! Our registration process is simple and only involves answering a few quick questions.

There’s no need to wait until things become overwhelming. If you need a little extra support, we’re here for you.

Everyone deserves a little help when times get tough. Please don’t hesitate to reach out β€” we’re happy to help. We’re open 8:30 - 11:30 Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

FOOD BANK FUNDRAISER – WIN A BEAUTIFUL QUILT!

We’re selling tickets on this gorgeous Pink Log Cabin quilt, lovingly made by one of our phenomenal volunteers, Debbie Default! πŸ’• A huge thank you to Debbie for sharing her incredible talent and helping support our food bank.

Tickets: $2 each or 3 for $5!

Our volunteers will be selling tickets this weekend at Sobeys at the Aberdeen Mall. Stop by, say hello, and get your tickets!

A big thank you to the Crushers for hosting a food drive in support of our food bank before last night’s game! ❀️

Thanks to the generosity of the fans and everyone who contributed, we raised over $300 in cash and collected 175 pounds of food!

Your kindness and support make a real difference in our community and help us support local families in need.

πŸ‚ **THANKSGIVING CLOSURE** πŸ‚

A reminder to our clients that Pictou County Foodbank East will be closed on Monday, October 12th for Thanksgiving.

We will reopen for regular hours on Wednesday, October 14th.

Thanksgiving is a time to pause and reflect on the many things we have to be thankful for β€” family, friends, our community, good health, a helping hand, and the people who are there for us when we need them.

We are especially thankful for the wonderful community that continues to support our foodbank and for the volunteers, donors, and partners who help us support our neighbours throughout the year.
