About the Library

The Pictou-Antigonish Regional Library is one of nine regional public libraries across Nova Scotia. The regional library system was created through provincial legislation, the Public Libraries Act. Each regional library is governed by an independent library board. There are seven branch libraries, one rural access site, Borrow-by-Mail service, library outreach and an extensive virtual library service.

Big crowd at the New Glasgow Library today to sing and dance along with Razzmatazz! Kids and family enjoying a free fun and social event. Thank you to the Aberdeen Health Foundation for supporting this program.

Friday morning at the New Glasgow Library! Join the fun! Award-winning duo Razzmatazz for Kids will get you hugging someone you love, clucking like a chicken, riding a bumpy bus, laughing, singing, and hopping to their playful, interactive children's songs. Their song, “Going to my Grandma’s”, was aired on Sesame Street, and they have toured in Canada, the U.S. and France.

Friday August 28th at 11 am. No registration required.

Westville Library has openings for a free 3 part Calligraphy Workshop, Sept 1-3, 12:30-2pm. Learn creative handwriting plus illumination (colouring) of letters. Supplies provided. Great for making cards or just relaxing. You must register by calling the Westville Library. Pictou workshop is full.

We have a creative space where you can write, draw, imagine, and share ideas. Bring your friends! We are a community of storytellers who create together.

U.F.O. Club (Un-Finished Objects) at the Library🧶
Today!!! Wednesday, August 26, 2pm-4pm

Love crafting? Drop by and join our monthly meeting of the U.F.O. (Unfinished Objects) Club at the Library. Everyone works on their project. Bring along your unfinished crafts and supplies. Coffee and tea included. The U.F.O. Club meets monthly on the last Wednesday afternoon, from 2-4pm.
