As students head back to school, please take extra care around school buses, school zones, and pedestrian crossings.

When a school bus activates its flashing amber lights, slow down and prepare to stop. When its red lights are flashing and the stop arm is extended, drivers must stop and remain stopped until the lights stop flashing and the arm is retracted.
On roads without a median, traffic in both directions must stop. On roads divided by a median, only vehicles travelling in the same direction as the bus must stop.
A few extra moments of patience can help every student travel safely.

Congraulations to Mary-Jo Lentz and Michelle Lafreniere on representing Area 6 and 7 of Territories Without Municipal Organization in the District of Timiskaming at DTSSAB!
