Today, march 26th, 2020 is the 79th anniversary of the sinking of HMCS Otter. RIP to the brave souls that did not survive the ordeal and thank you to the sailors that saved many lives on that day.

Lucien was born in Hull, QC in 1920. He was in the sea cadets in Ottawa before he joined the RCNVR in Jun 1940 and served onboard HMCS Otter. He was a gunner in training. He died of exposure (then drowned) after spending more than 2 hours in the frigid waters of the Atlantic. He was awarded the 1939...

This page is dedicated to the sailors that lost their lives on march 26th, 1941 and to the others that lost their friends.

I am currently trying to reconstruct as best as possible what really happened on that day. I have an extensive collection of news papers clips, some pictures of the ship and crew and some stories.

If you have ANY information, personal letters, etc... I would really appreciate a copy.

My main goal is to create a web documentary on the incident so that their memories stay with us.
