Meet Paul Minhas!

Current City Councillor, longtime small business champion, arts supporter, and the friendly face behind local favorites like the Heritage Grill and Begbie’s Pub—Paul Minhas knows exactly what makes New Westminster tick! 🎸🍔🏛️

Paul is running for re-election to City Council with the New West Progressives, bringing the practical, hard-working mindset of someone who has created jobs, supported our local arts scene, and served this community for decades.

A New West resident since 1991, Paul has been a champion for everything from Pride Week and Show & Shine to jazz band scholarships and community meals. On Council, he’s focused on keeping streets safe, supporting vibrant local storefronts, delivering core services, and making sure City Hall respects every taxpayer dollar.

It’s official. I’ve filed my nomination papers to run for New Westminster City Council!

I’m grateful for the support and encouragement I’ve received along the way, and I’m looking forward to the weeks ahead, listening, learning, and continuing to meet residents across our city.

I’m proud to be running with Daniel Fontaine and the NWP team, offering New Westminster a responsive, practical, accountable alternative at City Hall.

On October 17, I’m asking for your vote and your support for the NWP team.

New Westminster taxpayers deserve environmental action that delivers real local results.

The NWP will cancel the City’s participation in the ‘Sue Big Oil’ campaign and redirect those funds toward practical environmental programs that deliver visible results here at home — projects that can make our neighbourhoods greener, cooler and more resilient.

Environmental responsibility should be measured by results, not slogans.
