A man arrested by Metro Vancouver Transit Police on eight Canada-wide arrest warrants out of Saskatchewan remains in custody to face charges.
On Thursday, August 27, 2026, shortly after 8:00 p.m., officers from the Transit Police Targeted Mobile Enforcement Team were conducting impaired driving enforcement in the area around Surrey Central Station when they encountered a driver with eight active Canada-wide arrest warrants. Emmanuel Enocent Dario, a 36-year-old man from Surrey, was taken into custody on the following outstanding warrants out of Estevan, Saskatchewan:
- Two counts of Possession for the purposes of trafficking a controlled substance;
- Two counts of Fail to comply with release order;
- Two counts of Fail to attend court;
- One count of Possession of property obtained by crime;
- One count of Obstruct a Peace Officer;
Mr. Dario is currently held in-custody pending his next court appearance.
