Transit Police need your help!

Metro Vancouver Transit Police are investigating an alleged sexual assault that occurred in Vancouver. Investigators are seeking dashcam footage from motorists who travelled on Stainsbury Avenue between Victoria Drive and Walker Street between 3:30 p.m. to 3:55 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. They are also looking to speak to anyone who may have been walking in the area during that time.

Anyone who was in the area, or who has dashcam video, is asked to contact Transit Police by phone at 604.515.8300, or by text at 87.77.77 and quote file number 2026-13363.

Metro Vancouver Transit Police do not believe there is an increased risk to the public. This investigation is ongoing and no further information is available at this time.

Following an arrest by Metro Vancouver Transit Police, the BC Prosecution Service has approved multiple fi****ms related charges against a suspect from Surrey.

Sean Robert Gullick, age 33, is now facing 25 approved charges, most related to weapons offences under the Criminal Code of Canada. He remains in custody, pending his next court appearance. The charges include:

•5 x Possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking
•3 x Possession of fi****ms while prohibited
•3 x Possession of fi****ms without licence and/or registration
•2 x Possession of prohibited fi****ms
•2 x Careless storage of fi****ms
•Unauthorized possession of fi****ms
•Identity theft
•Possession of forgery instruments
•Possession of stolen property under $5000
•Unauthorized use of credit card data
•Deal with identity document without lawful excuse
•Breach of release order
•Assault with weapon
•Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
•Obstruct police officer

We’ve been working on a video project around the transit system over the last few weeks, capturing officers on patrol and recreating some of the calls for service they respond to. We are so grateful to the team of volunteers who gave up a sunny day to take on acting in the roles of transit passengers, individuals causing problems, and active bystanders. Thank you! Metro Vancouver Transit Police is appealing for witnesses after an incident took place near the Joyce Skytrain Station.

On May 6, 2026 at 7:45p.m., Metro Vancouver Transit Police received a report of a male with a weapon, uttering threats near Joyce Skytrain Station.

Transit Police members located the male inside the station. During the interaction police used less lethal force options. The male attempted to leave the scene via the SkyTrain track area before falling to the ground below, after which he was taken into custody.

BC Emergency Health Services attended and the male was transported to local hospital with serious injuries.

Transit Police immediately notified the Independent Investigations Office of BC of the incident and is unable to provide additional information while the IIO’s independent process is taking place.

The Metro Vancouver Transit Police are requesting any witnesses who observed or had contact with the male prior to police arrival to contact 604-515-8300 and quote file # GV26-11349.

Ten new recruit police officers were sworn in today before they head to the Police Academy at the Justice Institute of British Columbia: JIBC. Seven of them were pulled from the Transit Police Community Safety Officer program. So now we need more CSOs. But we’re not complaining 😃
