This 1972 Thibault‑GMC T3 250‑1200, stationed in Virgil, reflects a major leap forward in fire apparatus capability. Built on a GMC chassis and manufactured by Thibault, engines like this combined higher pump capacity with increased water supply, supporting more efficient fire suppression as operational demands continued to grow.
A strong example of the evolving fire service and the commitment to protecting our community!

🐾❤️ National Dog Day ❤️🐾
These photos are from our Dog Days of Summer initiative, where our firefighters helped spotlight adoptable pets in our community who were searching for loving homes. 🐶📸
Today, we’re celebrating the special bond between people and their pets, and sharing a reminder that loving your pet also means keeping them safe:
💧 Always provide plenty of fresh water
🐕 Use leashes and proper identification
🚗 Never leave pets unattended in hot vehicles

🚗🔥 The 13th Annual Virgil Volunteer Firefighters Car Show is almost here! 🔥🚗
Join us at Station 3 in Virgil for a great day of classic cars, trucks, community, and fun while supporting our local volunteer firefighters!
📅 Sunday, August 23, 2026
⏰ 9:00 a.m.– 3:00 p.m.
📍 1391 Concession 6 Rd, Niagara-on-the-Lake
🚘 $10 per car (no pre-registration required)
This year, we’re excited to welcome Farmworkers Hub NOTL in support of our local farmworkers! ❤️
They’ll be collecting new and unopened hygiene essentials such as men’s deodorant, toothpaste, bar soap, and more to help create their 2027 Wellness Bags for workers arriving for a new season on our local farms.
🎟️ For every item donated, you’ll receive one ticket to enter their draw!
Come show off your ride, enjoy the community, and consider bringing a hygiene item to support our local farmworkers.

🚒 We’re coming to your neighbourhood tonight! 🏘️🚨
From 7:00 to 9:00 PM this evening, uniformed NOTL firefighters will be going door-to-door in the community, offering to:
🔥 Test your residential smoke alarms
🔥 Test your carbon monoxide alarms
🔥 Answer your fire safety questions
If we don’t make it to your home and you have questions about fire safety, visit the Fire Department’s website or call the Town and ask to speak with the Community Risk Reduction Team.

🏕️ Camping and cottage nights are for relaxing, not reacting! 🌲✨
With peak season in full swing, campfires and BBQs are everywhere. 🔥🍔 But one unattended flame can spread quickly in dry conditions.
Don't leave it until it's out:
💧 ✔ Pour water on it
🪵 ✔ Stir it up to ensure there are no hidden embers
🧊 ✔ Make sure it's completely cool before leaving
Because the only thing that should be spreading this summer is good vibes. ☀️😎

🔥 Late summer heat can turn dry lawns, mulch, and yard debris into quick-burning fuel, and even small sparks can cause major problems. 🚬🌾 Carelessly tossed smoking materials are still one of the top causes of preventable outdoor fires.
Before you walk away, take a second to do it right:
✅ Fully put it out (no smoke, no heat!)
🗑️ Use a proper ashtray
🌱 Keep cigarette butts out of gardens, planters, and landscaping
