It appears that there is a large skunk population this year and it seems that several have taken up residence in Choiceland. We are aware of many sightings in all areas of town and are attempting to trap them. This takes time and patience as we have a limited number of traps and skunks like to roam. Pest control can be contacted at 306-812-9226 if you have an issue on your property. They will provide this service to you, for a fee.

To help eliminate the issue, please do not leave pet food outside, as this attracts skunks.
Check yards for spots that skunks may like to make their home - under buildings, old vehicles, piles of stuff, etc. Blocking off holes under sheds and other buildings and removing unnecessary clutter from yards will help minimize skunk presence.

NO DUMPING of fish, fish carcasses, animal carcasses, deceased animals/pets, or any parts of the previously mentioned is allowed within town limits!!! These items are also NOT ALLOWED to be disposed of in your garbage or recycle bins!
Please dispose of these items appropriately as this attracts unwanted wild animals to town!
