Treasure hunters, antique lovers, and garage sale fans — this is your weekend in Nordegg!

On Saturday, start by stopping the Community Hall for the Spring Market’s Antique & Vintage section and pick up your list of Nordegg’s Community-Wide Garage Sale participant addresses, then explore antiques and Indigenous crafts at Maryz Unique Treasures.

Copies are currently available at the Nordegg Post Office, Nordegg Public Library, and Upper Shunda Creek Campground, and will also be available throughout the weekend at the Spring Market, the Nordegg Shell Shop, and the Nordegg Lodge Hotel.

The community garage sale is intended as a town-wide “treasure hunt,” with participants hosting from their own residences, cabins and properties throughout Nordegg — happy exploring!

Today is a celebration of reading designed to remind families to make reading a priority activity in their lives. This day is celebrated every year on April 12th for author Beverly Cleary’s birthday. D.E.A.R. time was a reading practice featured in the Ramona books.
