🚶🏻‍♂️ Social trails are unofficial shortcuts made by visitors over time. Although they seem harmless, they can be more damaging than you think. 👇

🌱 Walking through wild areas can damage sensitive species and their habitats. Parks protect many sensitive species, but social trails put them at risk.

🥾 Going off the beaten path can also harm visitors. Social trails are unmaintained and could increase a visitor’s exposure to ticks, poison ivy, and unsafe hiking/walking conditions.

🪧 In our park, we have signage marking all our trails and roads so you know you’re on the right path.

❗️Please stay on designated trails and help us protect our park (and yourself)!
