Battlefords News-Optimist The Battlefords News-Optimist has been serving the Battlefords for more than a century. The motto in the News-Optimist newsroom is "Everyone Has A Story."

The News-Optimist is an award winning community newspaper dedicated to providing readers with comprehensive coverage of news, sports and events in the community. It is our mission to tell those stories, which in turn create a chronicle of Battlefords history as it unfolds each week. The News-Optimist also provides an effective advertising vehicle for businesses throughout the region as well as for provincial and national advertisers.
